Personal Trainer Near Me

Hey, it’s me, I’m the Trainer, it’s me (sung to Taylor Swift’s Anti-Hero).

Ok, maybe that’s a lame intro, but I hope it grabbed your attention. When people search for a Personal Trainer they usually type in “Personal Trainer Near Me.” And for those in the Denver area, that really is ME! Not only am I certified Personal Trainer, but I’m a traveling trainer, who comes to YOUR HOUSE.

I also offer sessions at my home gym for those that want to escape their home for a workout and when the weather permits I can even meet clients at local parks.

But, back to training sessions at YOUR HOUSE; most people think they need to have a full gym or loads of equipment, but the truth is there is a LOT you can do with just a little equipment. A couple sets of dumbbells and resistance bands is all you really need to get in an awesome workout. Plus, I have some equipment I can bring with as well to spice things up once in awhile.

You don’t have to go up in weight just to increase the difficulty of an exercise, you can also:

  • Add pulses
  • Go SLOW concentrically and/or eccentrically
  • Add a pause
  • Do supersets (working same muscle group back to back)
  • Add jumping or dynamic movements

Why Work with a Personal Trainer?

  1. Increases Accountability
Your trainer will be there even when you don’t want to workout. They will help ensure you get your workout in and because they are expecting you, you will be less likely to cancel and more likely to show up and put in the work.
  2. You’ll Learn about Health, Fitness & Your Body
A trainer is educated in the field, so can explain things as you go along. They can tell you why they have you doing specific exercises, they can point out imbalances they notice in your body, and they can provide specific ideas and advice for you to improve your health and fitness.
  3. Help With Goal Setting
It’s one thing to say, “I want to improve my fitness” and another to actually break that down, get specific and draw out a game plan. A trainer can help you flush out your goal and put that plan into motion.
  4. You’ll Get an Individualized Plan
When you work with a trainer they will create a plan and modify exercises for you specifically. This will help you reach your goal, help prevent injury, and overall just feel better for you and your body.
  5. Flexible Schedule and Format
You can schedule your workouts for when works for you. The trainer can also take note if you appear extra fatigued on certain days and adjust the workout to fit what your body needs.
Instead of a group setting where you might feel insecure to modify an exercise, despite an injury, with a trainer they will be sure to avoid those exercises and find other ways for you to workout without triggering injuries (and can sometimes help you heal & improve those injuries)
  6. Nutritional Advice
Although a personal trainer legally cannot provide meal plans (yes, I know SO many still do, but technically, it’s illegal!), they are allowed to provide general nutritional advice, which many clients may find very valuable as they navigate their health and fitness journeys.
  7. Helps with Mental Health
A Personal Trainer is not a therapist, however, there is evidence that strength training can boost your mental mood and help with depression and anxiety. Also, most trainers got into the industry because they truly care about people and they want to help others overcome the hurdles they face in reaching a healthier lifestyle, so they may be able to lend a listening, non-judgmental, ear 🙂
  8. Create Lifelong Healthy Habits
Working with a trainer can help you develop and create healthy habits that can last you a lifetime. Your trainer can help suggest little things you can do throughout your day that can make big changes, like taking the stairs instead of elevator, walking to the store, doing a walk & talk instead of happy hour…
Starting small and adding to the wins is the most effective way to master habit change, and a good personal trainer will help you navigate this territory.

A personal trainer can give you the tools and support that you need to reach a health and fitness goal.
